Rajan qualified from Manchester Dental Hospital in 1993. Rajan is a member of the PREP panel - a group of select General Dental Practitioners that evaluate the very latest dental material technology for Professor Burke at Birmingham Dental Hospital. Rajan is also an approved Vocational Trainer - training new graduate dentists in our approved training dental practice.

He has a particular interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, with extensive postgraduate training, especially in the 'Smile Lift' concept designed by New York 'dentist to the Stars', Larry Rosenthal.

Dr Mehta is registered with the General Dental Council as a specialist in Periodontics.

He qualified in 1992 and since then has gained extensive experience in oral surgery working in several of the UK's leading hospitals. It was during this period that he passed the Fellowship in Dental Surgery examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FDS RCS).

In the period 2000-2003 he underwent his three years specialist training in Periodontology at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Whitechapel, London. He completed the newly created Master of Clinical Dentistry Degree in Periodontology and at the end of 2003 passed examinations to obtain The Diploma of Membership in Restorative Dentistry from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr Mehta has held several hospital posts, including the Honorary Clinical Lecturer/Specialist Trainee and Associate Specialist in Restorative Dentistry (Periodontology) at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Whitechapel, London.

As a periodontist, he is trained to help patients with the treatment and complications associated with periodontal diseases.
